GWM Lawyers and Conveyancers and Holiday Coast Credit Union have organised a Breakfast Seminar on GST Audit Issues.

The seminar is scheduled for Tuesday 9th September 2003, from 7:30 am to 9:00 am. It is being presented by Audit Officers of the ATO and covers the issue of how the Australian Taxation Office identifies targets for tax audits.

GWM Runner Up in 2003 FindLaw Law Firm Web Site Awards.

The 2003 Findlaw Web Awards were held at the Shangri La Hotel in Sydney on 14 August, 2003. The night celebrates excellence in web page design, development and content for Australian firms servicing the legal industry.

There are 4 primary sectors. These are:

• Best Small Firm for 4 partners or less.
• Best Medium Firm for 5 - 20 partners.
• Best Large Firm for 20 partners and beyond.
• People's Choice Award.

The People's Choice Award is determined by the vote of the people.

The GWM Lawyers and Conveyancers web site was nominated. This was a lovely surprise to our staff who, whilst proud of our web site were stunned that it would gain recognition at a national level. This is particularly so given there are 8,310 legal firms recorded by the Findlaw data base in Australia. There are 3,262 legal firms recorded in New South Wales alone.

GWM Lawyers and Conveyancers came runner up in the Best Small Firm category. Both Loris Hendy and I were astounded.

Loris and I were even more astounded when GWM Lawyers came 4th in the People's Choice Award. I am proud of the achievements of GWM Lawyers and Conveyancers and I am particularly impressed by the content, appearance, quality and style of our web page.
