Loris has a varied background in private and corporate practice and dispute resolution and is also a qualified mediator. She assists clients to resolve their disputes as quickly as possible but if a dispute is not capable of resolution she represents clients in courts and tribunals. Loris focuses on disputes in partnerships and companies, including employment disputes, other commercial disputes, insolvency and bankruptcy, family and defacto relationship disputes, building and estate disputes. She is married with one son and is the treasurer of the Hastings branch Diabetes Association, board member of Hastings Business Enterprise Centre and member of the Lake Innes Fire Brigade. Qualifications: Bachelor of Arts (Asian Studies), Bachelor of Laws (ANU) Interests: Swimming, gardening, exercise. Bob Gillroy: Solicitor Director Commercial, Company and Partnership Advice, Personal Law, Damages Claims, Commercial Litigation. Bob was admitted as a barrister in 1982 and subsequently in 1987 as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. Bob was employed for 13 years at GIO Australia in various positions including Senior Legal and Management positions. Bob was retained during the period of the GIO's conversion from a public institution to a private corporation as the Industrial Officer and, in that capacity was engaged in ensuring the efficient transfer of staff and operations during a politically turbulent period. He developed during his time with the GIO extensive experience in litigation in the Supreme, District and Local Court, along also with experience in the Workers Compensation Courts and the Industrial Commission. During Bob's period with the GIO he developed management, strategic planning and negotiation skills as an adjunct to his legal duties. Bob has made it clear that his future and that of his family is focused in the Port Macquarie area and he is committed to see GWM continue to develop as a centre of legal professional excellence. Bob is also anxious to see that Port develops into a dominant regional centre and that the services provided by GWM match the business and individual needs of such a prominent locale. Bob is on the Board of Directors of Australian Business Limited (ABL). Qualifications: Bachelor of Law (UTS) Interests: Educational and sporting pursuits of his 3 children together with aspirations that one day he may become a moderately competent golfer and fisherman although, at this stage he readily concedes that he can claim no success in either endeavour. Philosophy: I believe a persons legal rights should not be dependent on his/her capacity to pay. Just because insurers have got a lot of money, control politicians and the press, doesn't mean that people should run scared from them. Let's have a go for the underdog.
